Your source for political, educational, community, & cultural issues in Edmond, Oklahoma.

The podcast and op-ed website focused solely on Edmond issues

From Edmond politics to the public school district to special events around town, Edmond Voices keeps the citizens and supporters of Edmond up to date on All Things Edmond.

When The Edmond Way ceased publication in the spring of 2025, our editorial team faced a critical choice—step away from the conversation or find a new way to keep it going. Determined to continue serving as an independent voice for Edmond, we launched Edmond 46B Productions LLC, a locally owned media company dedicated to producing community-focused content.

As the proud parent company of Edmond Voices, Edmond 46B Productions is committed to keeping local editorial commentary alive and accessible—no newspaper required. Operating from our studio in east Edmond, we record and produce podcast episodes that dive into the political landscape, education issues, local business stories, and the broader topics that matter to the people of Edmond, Oklahoma.

From time to time, we take the show on the road—whether popping up at a local business, public venue, or even broadcasting from First Christian Church of Edmond, one of our generous sponsors. Wherever we are, the mission stays the same: to inform, engage, and give Edmond residents a platform that reflects our community.

You can listen to the Edmond Voices podcast right here on our website, or find us on Spotify and on many other podcast platforms.

Why We Call It Studio 46B

Before Edmond Voices had its own platform, our journey in podcasting began during the final years of The Edmond Sun, Edmond’s long-standing local newspaper. Under the leadership of publisher Steve Paterson, the paper took a bold step into digital media, launching a monthly podcast that featured members of the editorial board and local community leaders.

That podcast was recorded at Studio 46, located on the campus of Oklahoma Christian University. The name “46” was a nod to Oklahoma’s proud place in U.S. history as the 46th state admitted to the Union.

Fast forward to the founding of Edmond Voices—as our team prepared to launch our own independent podcast, one of our members asked, “So… what do we call this place?” A voice from across the room replied, “Well, our last one was Studio 46… so I guess this must be Studio 46B.”

And just like that, it stuck.

What does the “B” stand for? Maybe it means this is our second studio. Maybe it’s because we record in a basement. Or maybe—just maybe—it’s a mystery we’ll never solve. Even our team can’t agree on it.

Whatever the case, Studio 46B is where the conversations happen, and where Edmond’s stories are told.
You decide what the “B” stands for.
